BusinessArticles.ca started as a weekly memo between two former bank analysts trying to make sense of what monthly economic releases actually meant for the businesses they knew — a bakery, a freight brokerage, a family manufacturing shop. The memo found an audience. It became a publication.

We still write it the same way: start from a real decision an owner or manager has to make, then work backward to the data, the policy, or the precedent that should inform it. We're not an academic journal and we're not a wire service — we're closer to the notes a sharp colleague would hand you before a meeting.

We're based in Saskatchewan and report on business across every province, with particular attention to the parts of the economy — agriculture, freight, small manufacturing — that national outlets tend to summarize in a single paragraph.
